•   CONTENTION   -   APPEARANCE

Appearance wise, like with body language, Basch has an approachable quality. He has a neutral expression which makes him seem easier to talk to amongst the members of the main party. In general, Basch has blonde hair, but as a majority of the main party members also have blonde hair, his hair seems to have a golden hue to it. Basch's hair happens to be messily slicked back, and as for the length, it sits slightly above his neckline. As seen in the sketches shown in the ending credits of the game, as a child Basch also had this untamed hair style. Facially, the most noticeable thing would be the scar across his left eyebrow, and the one on his left ear. As he didn't have these scars when he first met Reks, Basch probably got them either while he was captured by the Archadian Empire or while in the Nalbina prison. Something unique to Final Fantasy XII is that more male characters have facial hair than in previous Final Fantasy games. Basch has facial hair, but due to the color of it it's hard to see everything. His ingame model, when you use him in battle, has a apparent goatee. In artworks that feature closeups of his face, or with saturated color, you can see a whispy moustache. However, in FMV sequences if one looks carefully, Basch has a goatee, whispy moustache, and a soul patch. In Itadaki Street artwork, Basch has everything but the soul patch.

▏▎   FEATURES UNIQUE TO THOSE NATIVE OF LANDIS?

As mentioned before, Basch's hair is golden blonde. As the other who have blond hair; Vaan, Penelo, and Ashe, who all happen to be Dalmascan, do not. Perhaps it is a trait unique to those from the Republic of Landis. In addition, Basch's doesn't open his eyes as wide as the others. It is almost as if he is squinting most of the time. It isn't because Basch was adjusting to natural sunlight after being held in a underground prison for two years because the feature was also apparent while he was fighting in Nabudis, and when he met Reks. In addition, Noah also has this feature.

      ▏▎   IDENTICAL TWIN

The easiest way to tell Basch and Noah apart is by their hair styles. Basch's hair is longer and messily slicked back, whereas Noah's hair is short and neatly slicked back. Even as children, they had their hair like this. In addition Basch also has a facial scar across his left eyebrow and facial hair. When Noah dressed up as Basch to assassinate King Raminas, all had really had to do was to change his hair style and grow some facial hair. As Reks had demonstrated, with that done, they are hard to differentiate apart from the few moles which Noah has on his cheek.

▏▎   IF TERRIBLE IS IN FASHION

Basch goes through the most costume changes of all the characters in Final Fantasy XII, and also perhaps of all the characters in the Final Fantasy series altogether. In total there are six wardrobe chances in store for Basch throughout the game.

BLha blah blah a list of Basch's outfits and whatnot. "My Out Of Style Is Coming Back"
