Although Basch is an important figure in the story of Final Fantasy XII, whenever he speaks it typically has something to do with geography of the next location which the group is supposed to go to, the history of a certain country, and so forth. It's usually something that can be considered a bit "boring" compared to Vaan bickering with either Ashe or Penelo. However, the more Basch and the others travel through Ivalice, the more he speaks out about other things, but it isn't until Gabranth presents himself that Basch shows another side of his personality. The following are quotes which are things said by or are about Basch.

Unforunately all the quotes are in Japanese at the moment...this will be -entirely- reorganized once I narrow down the quotes I truely want, and figure out what they are in the English localization.

     「みんな好きで戦ってるんじゃない」
Basch while talking to Reks on the eve of peace treaty signing at Nalbina Fortress

     Basch: 「国を捨てるよりはいい」
     Gabranth: 「お前も捨てたではないか...俺たちの祖国を」
Gabranth talking to Basch in Nalbina Prison in regards to "throwing away ones country"

     「帝国の人間ではないな　頼む私をここから...」
"You're not with the empire, please get me out of here" - Basch. Nalbina Prison when he sees Vaan and the group.

     「頼む　出してくれ　ダルマスカのためだ」
"For the sake of Dalmasca, please let me out" - Basch. He pleas....

     「ダルマスカの風が これほど懐かしいとはな...」
Basch, feeling nostalgic for the Dalmascan winds

     Vossler: 「忘れるな　バッシュ　ダルマスカ全土に解放軍の目が光っている　
                    お前はカゴの鳥も同然だ」
     Basch: 「かまわん　それならもう慣れた」
Conversation between Vossler and Basch inregards to the tight situation which he is in.

     「わかった　 たぶん中でいろいろあるけど心配ないよ 　なぁ　 バッシュ」
Vaan accidentally revealing Basch's name infront of "Lamont".
