▏▎▍ SITE HISTORY __
What drove me to make this site while i'm taking University was because of the lack of sanity while i was in there. What makes University drive me crazy is my pathetic schedule which can't be changed because there's only one class for the specific class which is making my life wallow in misery. So, since making myself generically happy by buying random things doesn't make me happy for decent period of time the other thing that makes me happy is reading. Tsubasa was it. The thing that makes me happier is the fact that Kurogane is more of a samurai than a ninja. I have a particular fondness for samurais. Also, Tsubasa compared to the other manga i read is more light hearted. One more thing, i collect manga and since Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle comes in hard cover why not buy it? My goal is to own the series in its first edition hard cover version. Why MAN OF ACTION? Man of Action brings me back fond memories of my eleventh year of school. I read MacBeth that year and enjoyed it alot. I remember writing an essay with the phrase "man of action" in it and for some reason i felt proud writing it. Probably because it's a song title, but i'll get to that later. Anyway, MacBeth isn't a man or action, obviously, however i see Kurogane as one. He has a rather comically dynamic personality which cracks me up alot while i read the manga. As for the song "Man of Action". It's by one of my favorite bands, Matthew Good Band. I don't see how the song associates with Kurogane however i do believe that it the title suits him well. The other name i wanted to name this site was 無限グライダー (「Mugen Glider」) which happens to be a song by Asian Kung-Fu Generation. I don't know how to explain how it's associated with Kurogane but in my mind yes. Why Kurogane? The answer is simple. He's a confused ninja who fights like a samurai. For those who have been to my other sites you may notice how much i love associating the characters with some sort of event in the history of Japan. Kurogane happens to be one of them. I originally intended in making a Fai D. Flourite fansite/shrine however i lack knowledge in his character background and i don't know how to explain his personality without sounding mean. Since there is already a great Fai fansite/shrine, Blue Skies, and since there isn't a Kurogane fansite/shrine then why not him? On a random note, another thing which motivated me to make this was when my Japanese teacher gave my class our names in Katakana. Mine happens to be クローイー. With my simple little mind, i realized that if you convert that into Hiragana it gives you く -- ろ -- ー -- い. If you take out the two ー you get くろい which means "black". If you had a name which sounded awfully similar to "black" if you mispronounce it or it literally means "black" wouldn't you be angry? (ie, people who can't pronounce long 'o's!) I consider it in some ways a pun. If you put Kurogane's name and mine together what do you get? Two people who had really "bad" names. I fully understand his pain. Site Status Project Started: September 26, 2004 Prototype Uploaded: December 21, 2004 Site opened: ---- Average hits per day: --- Hosted: Flora-Fleur.net Current Layout I tried my hardest to make this layout different than my previous ones. Really hard, but i was dry of ideas. So the upper part of the layout may remind some people of the current layout i have for Incognito and same with the bottom. I actually had alot of trouble making the 'swirly' part of the layout because this layout originally had a really dark background. I took out the dark background because i was afraid that the people who don't have bright monitors having problems looking at the layout. The other problem now is the length of the layout, which isn't my fault because my older and smaller monitor died. Lyrics on the bottom of the layout is from the song "Man of Action". ✖ RELEASE |
