Well, it's in Japan. Click here for a map. If you Zoom into the map you can see other towns that Takumi and the other characters of Initial D have raced in such as Myogi. Well, basically it is a map. I think you can figure things yourself.

For real life pictures of Akagi i suggest visiting Gallerystage.com. If you can't read Japanese, however you would like to view the pictures on the navigation bar left ot the Gallerystage.com website click on "go to gallery" then 赤城山. If you continue scrolling down "go to gallery" page at the very bottom of the page you will notice a header that says その他. Click on the link that says 番外編, then on #2 which says 赤城山近辺 on the following page.
