Here is a short debriefing of the anime series.

Initial D First Stage
The main protagonist of Initial D First Stage is Ryosuke Takahashi. First Stage begins with an unofficial race between Keisuke and Takumi and ends with one of the most anticipated races between Takumi and Ryosuke. It is in First Stage where Ryosuke is destined to defeat every single racing team in Gunma.

Initial D Second Stage
Set shortly after the events of the manga which takes place in the First Stage anime, Takumi's new protagonist would be the Lancer Evolution team named Emperor. Here, Kyouchii Sudou will challenge all the teams in Gunma, however he'll encounter a few problems when he reaches Akina and Akagi.

Initial D Third Stage - Movie
After the events of Second Stage, Ryosuke wants to create a new racing team however he also wants Takumi in it. Takumi contemplates on this for a while and during this time he also raced Kyouchii Sudou from the Emperors again and Takahashi Ryosuke.

Initial D Fourth Stage
Stage Four is based on Ryosuke's latest racing team, Project D. For additional information please visit the Official site. The schedule which the anime will be shown is as follows :

Well, it isn't certain that the movie will be called "Fifth Stage", however they are planning on making another movie.
