± While in Battle
As being one trained by the Fourth Hokage and graduating from the Ninja Academy at the age of five, Kakashi is known to be a genius ninja. What makes Kakashi special is his Sharingan. Since he is not part of the Uchiha Clan, for Kakashi being able to control a Sharingan almost perfectly is considered a great feat. Since the Sharingan is in a non Uchiha body, Kakashi's stamina is easily drained and also causes extreme exhaustion to his body. This may pose as a drawback, however his other skills make up for it.

While in battle, Kakashi's main goal is not only to complete the mission and make it out safely, but also to make sure his team mates are safe. His ability to think fast and understand his surroundings help him greatly while fighting. Unknown events which happened in the past most likely impacts the reason for Kakashi to care for his team mates so much.

Sharingan [ 写輪眼 ] - Kakashi's left is is a Sharingan which is found in the Uchiha Clan. Sharingans are known to copy and understand enemy Genjutsu, Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. The Sharingan which Kakashi has is a fully activated one, the ones with three marks around the pupil. Initially, the Sharingan Kakashi has had only two marks around the pupil meaning that Kakashi is able to progress to the next stage of Sharingan doujutsu. Kakashi's Sharingan is usually covered unless he is in a tense battle. It is wise for him to always have it covered to hide his identity because many people are still baffled by how he is able to use a Sharingan thus making it sought for. Kakashi is also in the bingo book because of it. Another thing to notice is that the iris area his Sharingan is always red and there are three little tear drop like markings around the pupil which rotate when the Sharingan is in use. Perhaps since he is not part of the Uchiha Clan he is not able to return the eye back to normal? The reason why Kakashi most likely doesn't shut his Sharingan eye is not because he can't shut it, it is probably because since he only uses it during tense battles he'll be needing it open at all times.

Kunai

Weapons - Kakashi's weapon of choice would be a kunai knife. He has them kept in the holster on his leg and the pouch behind his back. While Kakashi was part of ANBU, like the other members of ANBU, he carried around a katana on his back. Kakashi was also once given one of Yondaime's 'special' kunai which calls upon him when used.

Ninjutsu

	Chidori/Raikiri [ One Thousand Birds/Lightning Edge ] / 雷切 Chidori is Hatake Kakashi's only original move. It consists of gathering up large amounts of chakra onto the user's dominant hand, in Kakashi's case his right hand, and thrusting it into the opponent. In order to use Chidori effectively, the person performing this jutsu must also have Sharingan eyes because since the person performing the jutsu must move so quickly it is hard for him or her to see opponent's counter attack. Without the Sharingan, Chidori is an uncomplete jutsu. Two important aspects to Chidori is the amount of Chakra used and the speed of the user's movements and while using the Sharingan Kakashi is able to ensure a direct hit. What makes this ninjutsu frightening is being able to see the large amount of chakra in the user's hand. Because of the speed of the thrust, this ninjutsu emits a large chirping sound which is similar to that of one thousand birds chirping. Being a move which requires alot of chakra, Kakashi is only able to use this ninjutsu four times a day. Chidori aquired the nickname Raikiri after Kakashi cut through lightning with this move. The only people who know this move is Kakashi and Sasuke. This move may have been inspired by the Rasengan which was created by Kakashi's Genin instructor, the Fourth Hokage.
	Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu [ Earth Decapitation Technique ] A Earth techinique which the user move underground to catch the opponents legs and pulls him underground to the neck giving the appearance of a decapitated head. This move was first seen used on Sasuke during the Genin exam. Sakura later fell for this technique thinking that Sasuke's head was actually decapitated.
	Kawarimi no Jutsu A technique which the user quickly switches his body with an object. It give the illusion that the victim successfully hit the person, however once hit the 'body' will become an object. This move was first seen while Kakashi was fighting Naruto during the Genin exam.
	Tsuiga no Jutsu [ Earth Tracking Fang Technique] A type of summoning which a jutsu which most likely only Kakashi and other people who made a blood contract with dogs can do. This technique requires a scroll which the user smears his or her blood on followed by various seals. This summons a pack of ninja dogs, which are known to have a acute sense of smell, which then tracks the opponent by smell while burrowing underground. The dogs then appear and captures the opponent by weighing them down and biting them. This move was first seen while Kakashi was fighting Zabuza.
	Kuchiyose no Jutsu [ Summoning ] After signing a blood contract, the user is able to summon an animal or an object to the battle field. Kakashi's summoning is ninja dogs and the dog he primarily summons is Pakkun. This move was first seen while Kakashi was fighting Zabuza.
	Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [ Shadow Clone Technique ] Also known as a forbidden technique and Naruto's favorite move. Kage Bunshin no Jutsu is a techinique which the user is able to create a true replicate of himself with half of the user's chakra. The replication dissapears once it is hit. Compared to Naruto, Kakashi is able to do this technique will very little Chakra. This move was first seen shortly after Zabuza was killed to scare off Gatou's hired killers.

Genjutsu

	Genjutsu To create illusions or hypnotism. In Naruto, there aren't many genjutsu that is used often with exception to Itachi and Yurenai. Kakashi doesn't usually use genjutsu in battle however he did use it during the Chuunin exam against Sakura.
	Kai A technique which releases the user or others from a genjutsu technique. Kakashi is first seen doing this during the Chuunin exam.

Taijutsu

Konohagakure Inzen Taijutsu Ougi: Sennen Goroshi [ Hidden Leaf Ancient Taijutsu Supreme Technique: 1,000 Years of Pain]
A joke technique first done on Naruto during the Genin exam. It consists of the user making a tiger seal and launching them into the air. This technique causes little harm, however it does violate the victim's privacy.

Fuuinjutsu

Fuuja Houin [ Evil Sealing Method ]
A technique which seals curse seals. Two circles are drawn on the ground, one within the other, with five Kunais on each side. With the cursed victim sitting in the center of the circle, the sealer writes symbols running from the cursed victim's body to the the end of both circles symmetrically using the sealer's blood. After performing various seals, the symbols written in blood move onto the curse victim's curse seal and forms a circle around it. This technique restrains the curse seal's effects, however it is up to the cursed victim to control it. This move was first seen done by Kakashi on Sasuke.
