Seishirou Sakurazuka has appeared in two series created by Clamp. Tokyo Babylon which explains the bet that was made between him and Subaru Sumeragi and X which concludes the bet. Throughout both series', Seishirou is a rather pivotal character with two very distinct personalities. One which he hides until the right time, and one which he acts.
Throught the series, Seishirou is a rather pivotal character. He is rather lovable, but then there are somes scenes where you just absolutely hate him but in the end, depending on the person, you still like him even though he's done some terrible things. In other words, to some people, he is one of those characters who you love to hate.
Seishirou also serves as a contrasting character to Subaru. Subaru is known to be 'pure' and Seishirou is to be 'unpure'. Basically good versus evil, but all this changes after Hokuto's death in Tokyo Babylon when Subaru decided to drop out of school so he could concentrate on his onmyouji work in attempts to defeat Seishirou in revenge for his sister's death.
Both X and Tokyo Babylon were made into animes and one which was made into a live action movie. In the animes, the story between Seishirou and Subaru is usually remained undestorted or it is destorted at a lesser exent than those of other stories. Accuracy in the anime compared to the original story in the manga happens to be a positive thing for some anime fans.
