SakuraKinomoto Sakura is the adorable heroine of CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura, radiating happiness and bringing a smile to people's faces everywhere she goes. Although modest, Sakura is appreciated and loved by everyone she becomes acquainted with.

Having such a responsibility bestowed upon her at age ten (see more in the cards section), Sakura often has her hands full; however, she is still able to maintain her cheerful demeanor. This has much to do with her insistence that she is a "normal" girl and her habit of underestimating her own abilities. Regardless, once she puts her heart in her duty -- no matter how loath she may seem to do so -- she is unstoppable. Although seemingly reluctant, it does not take much to motivate Sakura; she is very dedicated to her friends and family, and she would do anything to keep them from harm's way -- or at least from feeling down.

Unlike most female leads who look back and laugh at all the 'little' things they considered catastrophes before receiving their powers, Sakura still worries about the petty details that seem unimportant in the grand scheme of things. She worries endlessly about a recorder test in music class, and she is devastated by the rejection of her first crush. It all goes to show that - powers or not - Sakura is still a child and that her skills have not affected her behavior or morals. Such is a trait that proves her worthy of her title as Cardcaptor.
