Here is a list of words and other random things that you may want to read if you aren't familiar with the Inuyasha series because some of these words are used frequenly throughout the site. If i explained some of the words wrong, inform me by emailing me.
  • Hanyou - In Inuyasha hanyou is refered to as "half demon". For example "Inuyasha is hanyou". You hear this alot from Sesshoumaru and some of Inuyasha's opponents.
  • Oni - demon
  • Jaki - a evil spirit or in the Inuyasha series it can be summed up as a type of aura which a demon may emit.
  • Kekkai - For those familiar with the X series by CLAMP, they use alot of "kekkai" there. A kekkai in both X and Inuyasha means the same thing. It's simply a barrier.
  • Kugutsu - this word literally means "puppet" or "dummy". Naraku usually uses a kugutsu instead of appearing in dangerous situations in person.
  • Mononoke - means a ghost or spectre that's vengeful. This was only used once in episode 133 - 134 of the anime.
  • Youkai - demon, monster, ghost everything that has to do along those lines. In Inuyasha, Youkai is refered to as "full demon". For example Sesshoumaru is youkai.
  • Youki - demonic/ghostly/unearthy atmosphere.
