+ Relations
Although Sesshoumaru tends to be quiet, he does develop some sort of relation with many of the other characters in the Inuyasha series, most which misunderstand who he really is.
Inuyasha
Inuyasha would probably the character who misinterprets Sesshoumaru the most whereas his companions have a better understanding. Sesshoumaru doesn't necessarily loathe his brother, but rather he is constantly annoyed of him because he doesn't meet his constant demands. Sesshoumaru also has a familial sense of caring for his brother. He watches oever him and makes sure the demon side of him doesn't get the best of him. It is also the reason why Sesshoumaru no longer desires the Tessaiga.
Kagome & Co.
Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippou are not always fond of Sesshoumaru's presence because it could mean one of a few things. There is danger, Naraku is near, or Inuyasha's going to die. Compared to Inuyasha, they seem to have a better understanding of Sesshoumaru. Thei perceptions were changed when they realized that Sesshoumaru was trying to knock out Inuyasha while his demon blood had taken over his body and then helped them to "convert" Inuyasha to his normal self. Although Sesshoumaru has a deslike for humans, he also respects their request for him to keep his distance from them whenever asked.
Naraku
Sesshoumaru does not like being used by other and in Naraku's case that's precisely what he does. Naraku's intention in the series is to collect all the shards of the Shikon no tama so he can become a full youkai. Throughout the series, Naraku has managed to make Sesshoumaru angry quite a few times. It all began when he offered Sesshoumaru a human arm with a piece of the Shikon no tama embedded in it so he could hold the Tessaiga and in return they could have what they both wanted, Inuyasha dead. After realizing that the arm was devouring his body, Sesshoumaru seeked revenge however Naraku, who was prepared and used a kugustu in his place, cleverly got away. The second time, Naraku challenged Sesshoumaru so he could test out his new body and devour Sesshoumaru however that plan backfired on both accounts. Naraku had his new body destroyed by Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru failed to kill Naraku. The third time was another challenge to Sesshoumaru so he could test his other new body, however this time Naraku was succesful and got away as Sesshoumaru, again, failed to kill him. There were plenty more times that events similar to these occured and they usually end up the same way.
